TrustNordisk has secured international sales for filmmaker Mari Storstein’s debut feature film “My First Love.”

The Norwegian film, produced by Thomas Robsahm ("The Worst Person in the World", "Loveable") and Tøri Gjenda for Nordisk Film Production Norway and Amarcord, is currently in production.
“My First Love” fills a crying need in the global marketplace for stories that accurately portray people with disabilities, highlighted by Hollywood star Ramy Youssef and “Coda” director Sian Heder, as reported by Variety, offering a truthful and heartfelt story of a young disabled woman, told from the perspective of the director who has been in a wheelchair her entire life.
Storstein, who studied filmmaking at the television school at Lillehammer University College in Norway, has consistently used her camera to document the plight of people with disabilities and has received multiple awards for her work, including a Norwegian Gullruten (the Norwegian version of the Emmys) in 2018 for her documentary series “Søsken,” about six families where one sibling has a disability.
