Pregnancy doesn't magically happen in the video game "The Sims 2." Two of your Sims have to try to have a baby. Sims can try to conceive in three places: the bed, the hot tub, and the clothing booth. Just because they're trying to conceive doesn't mean the woman will get pregnant. There's a 60 percent chance of pregnancy on the bed, a 50 percent chance in the clothing booth (public woohoo), and a 25 percent chance in the hot tub. If your Sims are serious about parenthood, they should try to conceive on the bed, where the chances are the highest.
Sims 2 vs Sims 3 vs Sims 4 – Pregnancy
To try for a baby on the bed, a male and female Sim relax on a bed together. When the option to "try for baby" or "woohoo" appears, choose "try for baby" if you want your Sims to have a baby.
If you listen closely after trying for a baby, you may hear a lullaby. To confirm the pregnancy, have both Sims relax on the bed and see if the "try for a baby" option appears. If it doesn't, your Sim is pregnant. If you'd rather be surprised, you can wait and see if the telltale signs of pregnancy appear.
Sim pregnancy lasts for three days—one day per trimester. Sims will behave differently during the first day of pregnancy. Some women will not experience any discomfort, while others will spend more time in the bathroom than usual.
