This article explains how to turn off (or on) network discovery in Windows 10. You can also use these instructions to easily check whether network discovery is turned on or off.
Windows 10/11 – Network discovery is turned off. Network computers and devices are not visible.
To check whether network discovery is enabled or disabled, and to change the setting if desired, follow these steps:
Open the Windows 10 Action Center from the bottom-right corner of your screen (you can also press Win+A), then select Expand (if you see that option).
Select Network & Internet Settings.
