The company announced today that former US President Donald Trump's Twitch account has been blocked again.

Trump's Twitch account was suspended indefinitely following the January 6, 2021, attack on the US Capitol. However, three and a half years later, the company reinstated the account as Trump is the official Republican nominee for president in 2024.
This news was initially shared by renowned insider and reporter Rod “Slasher” Breslau, who wrote in a July 19 tweet that Twitch had told him it believes “there is value” in giving presidential candidates a platform and “hearing from [them] directly.” Now that Trump has officially been nominated by the Republican Party, Twitch is taking action to reinstate its previous decision, which was made due to an “ongoing risk of further incitement of violence.”
As it stands, the official Donald Trump Twitch channel has been re-released and is fully functional. It hasn’t uploaded, streamed, or done anything of the sort, and it looks much the same as it did in 2021. If this reinstatement follows a similar path to Trump’s release of X (formerly Twitter), the former president may refuse to participate in the platform after being suspended indefinitely from it. Since being banned from most major social media platforms, he’s primarily used his own so-called Truth Social for communication.
