Twitter is running a new test that will soon allow you to earn money from the spaces you host.
Twitter begins rolling out paid Ticketed Spaces on iOS
Twitter's official Spaces account announced Thursday that it is testing Ticketed Spaces for "some hosts." The account said it would only be testing the feature with iOS users for now, but hopes to roll it out to everyone soon.
Ticketed Spaces was announced in June, and applications are now open for people to try it out. Some applicants may now be able to charge a fee to listen to the Spaces they host, but it’s unclear when Ticketed Spaces would go from a test to a permanent feature.
In its June announcement, Twitter said prices will range from $1 to $999, with Spaces Hosts able to earn up to 97% of Ticketed Spaces’ revenue after platform fees on in-app purchases. Users will also be able to customize the size of their Ticketed Space for a more intimate setting or larger audience.
