Ticketmaster will face some tough questions in the UK after thousands of Oasis fans were left disappointed after being unable to get tickets for the band's long-awaited reunion tour via its website.

British Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy has promised to investigate Ticketmaster's use of 'dynamic pricing', which caused ticket prices to skyrocket by hundreds of pounds as fans queued online to buy tickets.

Some fans are said to have abandoned their purchases after spending hours trying to get through after prices rose by as much as £200 while they queued. Thousands more were unable to buy tickets at all, forcing them to turn to ticket resale sites.

Nandy told the BBC she plans to put an end to the "scam sales" and ensure tickets are sold "at fair prices". She added that it is "depressing to see the prices being hugely inflated, excluding ordinary fans".
