This is not a drill: PC and accessory manufacturer Acer is also entering the e-bike market.
This is what everyone should know about e-bikes…
The company has just announced the ebii Smartbike , revealing that the Taiwanese computer maker is ready to throw its hat into the ever-competitive electric bike market. Acer has long been known for making ultra-thin and lightweight laptops, and that design philosophy carries over to its first e-bike.
The ebii weighs in at just 35 pounds, half that of many competing models. Despite the weight reduction, this bike still gets 70 miles per charge, which is a decent metric. Its top speed is 20 mph, though Acer didn’t specify whether this is a hard technological limit or a self-imposed limit to meet various speed restrictions.
In terms of high-tech features, the ebii has everything you need. This bike is packed with AI that learns riders’ personal preferences and adapts accordingly. For example, it automatically shifts gears on certain sections of your route when it’s trained enough, and automatically adjusts settings to suit different road conditions.
