Update 8/10/23: A Samsung representative has informed Lifewire via email that the One UI 6 beta release date has been pushed back, with no specific timeline provided.
Samsung One UI 7.0 update delayed indefinitely due to mounting issues
Android 14 doesn't have a release date yet, but Galaxy S23 users can try out the latest version of Google's mobile operating system today thanks to Samsung's One UI 6 beta.
According to a press release sent to Lifewire, S23 users in the US, Germany, and South Korea can begin testing One UI 6 and sharing their feedback with Samsung. In addition to all the features Google is bringing to Android later this year, including passkey support and improved font scaling options, One UI 6 adds Samsung-specific tweaks.
The company has notably redesigned the Quick Panel menu to make it easier to access certain features, with the brightness control bar now available by default in the compact view, and the full menu now accessible with a single swipe down. Elsewhere, Samsung has added an "impactful" new default font to the internal keyboard, as well as a range of new emoji for your texting needs.
