Microsoft's AI-enhanced Bing chatbot is constantly improving and can now add new personality options to its ever-expanding resume.
There's a better way to use Bing AI Chat! #shorts
Until this week, there was only one Bing chatbot to choose from, but now there are three, according to tweets from Mikhail Parakhin, head of web services at Microsoft. The app lets you choose from personality types that range from the more creative and entertaining to the more dry and precise.
There’s also a balanced personality type that doesn’t lean too far to either side. This is the default mode, though changes can be easily made via a conversation style customization panel. Parakhin notes that the update is rolling out now, and that 90 percent of active Bing chatbot users should already have received the new features.
This update isn’t just about adding some conversational flair to the chatbot experience, but it also brings some crucial fixes. To that end, it addresses the issue of the AI chatbot simply “refusing to answer for no apparent reason” and reduces instances of hallucinations in answers.
