The company just announced the Phoenix line of solar-powered wireless earbuds, which is an industry first. Technically, these are the world’s first solar-powered earbuds, but with a small caveat. The earbuds themselves aren’t solar-powered; the charging case is.
This case absorbs the sun’s rays to provide 32 hours of playback in reserve, giving the earbuds eight hours of continuous use before they need to be charged in the case. This is extremely cool technology, featuring advanced Powerfoyle solar panels, but it does require users to hold the charging case in the sun, which may not be super convenient.
But since they are earbuds that fit in your ears, this technology with a case makes sense.
