USB 2.0 is a Universal Serial Bus (USB) standard. Virtually all devices with USB capabilities and virtually all USB cables support at least USB 2.0 (often called Hi-Speed USB).
USB Ports, Cables, Types and Connectors
Devices that comply with this USB standard can transmit data at a maximum speed of 480 Mbps. This is faster than the older USB 1.1 standard and much slower than the newer USB4 standard.
USB 1.1 was released in August 1998, USB 2.0 in April 2000, USB 3.0 in November 2008, and USB4 in August 2019.
It's best to consult a USB compatibility chart to see what goes with what.
