This article explains how to use the personal assistant Cortana in the Microsoft Edge web browser. Instructions are for Cortana in Windows 10 with Microsoft Edge version 80 or earlier.

Before you can use Cortana in Microsoft Edge, you need to enable it in your operating system. To do this, follow these steps:

Select the Windows search icon in the Windows toolbar.

Type Cortana into the search box. A white circle will appear in the Windows toolbar.
