Facebook smileys and emojis have gotten easier to use over the years, as the social network added clickable menus that let users easily insert funny faces, symbols and objects without having to know any code. Now, there's a huge menu of emojis to choose from when creating status updates, posting comments and chatting in direct messages.

Facebook has a drop-down menu for emojis in the status posting box.

Start by composing a new Facebook status update. Click into the What's on your mind? status box and enter what you want to include in your update, or leave it blank if you just want to send emoji.

Click on the Smiley icon at the bottom right of the update status area to open a new menu.
