Finder's List view is one of the most versatile ways to view information about items in a folder. In List view, each object in a folder is displayed by its name along with an assortment of additional data arranged in a row and column format, much like you would see in a spreadsheet. This layout lets you quickly see all sorts of relevant information about an object. For example, you can see at a glance what date a file was last modified, how big the file is, and what kind of file it is. You can view up to nine different file properties, in addition to the name of a file or folder.
