It’s that time of year again, when we travel across the state, the country, or even the world to spend time with friends and family. And the latest updates to Google Maps can help with that. Granted, some of these features aren’t new, but they’re rolling out to more areas.
The improved Street View feature, Live View, is expanding its availability to six new cities, allowing you to look through your camera to find marked points of interest. Now you can turn it on and move your phone to find the shops, restaurants, and more you’re looking for, whether you’re in London, Los Angeles, New York, Paris, San Francisco, or Tokyo.
Electric vehicle (EV) charging searches are also being bolstered with a new “fast charging” filter, allowing you to exclude stations with outputs of less than 50 kW. Additionally, more countries will support plug-type filters to ensure you get results that are compatible with your car.
