VALORANT Patch 8.09 is a small update coming mid-act, but it does include an important change to the agent and a number of bug fixes we can look forward to.

Patch 8.9 is scheduled for release on May 14th and will introduce a small but essential update to Brimstone’s Sky Smokes, bringing them into line with other dome-shaped smokes in VALORANT. The patch also fixes four annoying bugs that have been reported since Episode Eight, Act Three released last month.
Brimstone's Sky Smokes are the longest lasting vision blockers in VALORANT, but they also have the smallest radius of all smokes, making them somewhat unsuitable for wider chokepoints (like A Elbow on Sunset).
Patch 8.09 addresses this inconsistency by slightly increasing the Sky Smoke's radius and improving the UI targeting size on its bracer to accurately reflect the new radius. According to the notes, the developers wanted to ensure that "when the outer edge of the targeting UI covers a chokepoint, the spawned smoke will also fully cover that area."
