After one of the most tumultuous periods in VALORANT, players are once again left disappointed after receiving disheartening news about the game's current map pool.
Everyone wants Haven and Fracture back ‼ Our #VCTPacific pros have their say on the current card pool.
In VALORANT Patch 8.08, Riot Games confirmed that there would be no changes to the current competitive and casual map pools, leaving the community unhappy and worried about the upcoming season. In the latest Act, players have been very vocal about their opinions on the map pool and how it has greatly affected their enjoyment at every level.
Whether players are grinding ranked or trying to have fun in Swiftplay, everyone will be regulated to the same map pool to ensure that people can transition from casual to competitive play. This change was implemented at the beginning of the year and was met with anger from the general fanbase who felt it was unfair that casual players were forced to play the same maps repeatedly.
In many cases, players have complained about playing the same maps back to back, or only playing a handful of maps during a single play session. It has killed any sort of variety for those in casual lobbies, while the current maps in competitive have also provided a lackluster experience for ranked climbs.
