Managing group expenses, from dinners to rent, group competitions or even group travel, could become a lot easier.
Venmo Groups Explained: How to Split Bills and Expenses Like Splitwise
Venmo just announced a new feature that lets groups of people split expenses, making the entire process transparent to all group members. The feature, aptly called Venmo Groups, lets you split, track, and manage expenses—even ongoing or recurring ones, which the company says could be helpful for people who live together.
“We know that managing ongoing expenses in a group can be challenging, especially when each member covers different expenses with different amounts at different times,” said Erika Sanchez, Vice President and General Manager of Venmo. “As one of our most requested features, Venmo Groups provides a seamless solution for users to better track and reconcile shared expenses across groups.”
According to the press release, Venmo Groups lets you manage and break down expenses and then track them transparently. This way, the entire group can see who owes what and who has paid. Group members can also add expenses for other group members.
