Remember Vine? The 6-second video app paved the way for the massively viral app TikTok, even after Vine was killed by Twitter shortly after the social media company acquired it in 2016.
VINE 2.0 is here and it's called BYTE
Now, Vine co-creator Dom Hoffman is back with Byte, a (you guessed it) 6-second video app that you use just like Vine and TikTok. As the app's account put it on Twitter over the weekend, "it's both familiar and new."
"You know how it is: upload from your camera roll or use the byte camera to capture things," the @byte_app account tweeted. "There are tons of ways to find new personalities and moments. See what the community is watching and liking, check out posts handpicked by our editors, or browse through them yourself."
In other words, if you’ve used Vine or TikTok, you know how to use Byte. Swipe up to see new videos, create your own profile, follow creators you like, or search and browse for new, popular, or genre-specific “bytes.”
