The Borderlands movie is almost here, scheduled for release tomorrow, August 9th. The first reviews are in and they are as bad as they can be.

"Is it too early to call Borderlands the worst movie of '24?" Toronto Star film critic Peter Howell asked over at X in just one of many stinging reviews of the film. "This glutton mixes clumsy direction, terrible script, indifferent acting and awful CGI into such a mind-boggling bore that it feels like nothing can top it for badness," he added.
“BORDERLANDS is a disaster. Filled with every cliché you can think of, this film trades the chaos and imagination of the games for a lifeless, unfunny, and visually appalling failure with annoying characters and a cast without a shred of chemistry,” added Adriano Caporusso of Bitesize Break on X.
And if those reviews aren't enough, let's take a broader look. On August 8, Borderlands landed on Rotten Tomatoes with a Tomatometer of zero percent based on 14 critic opinions at the time of writing.
