100% Fixed VMware Workstation Slow Performance Issue Windows 11/10 (2022)
I installed Windows 7 on my Mac using VMWare Fusion and today I needed to get into the BIOS to change the boot order for my VM. I went ahead and rebooted the VM thinking that getting into the BIOS should be pretty easy. Not really. I ran into a few problems.
First, the BIOS screen flashed for about a second and then disappeared. Awesome! Second, pressing F2 on my Mac caused the screen brightness to increase instead of sending the key to the VM. I thought that since I was in full screen mode, any keys pressed would automatically be sent to the VM, but that is not the case. So how do I fix this?
To get into the BIOS of a VM, you'll need to edit the boot delay time to something higher. You can do that by editing the VMX configuration file for your VM. Here's how to do that. First, go ahead and shut down your VM. At the Virtual Machine Library screen, press the Option key and then right-click on the VM.
