Warzone fans have been clamoring to get their hands on the Kar98k, and Activision has finally answered those prayers by adding it to MW3 in Season 4. Now that players have had the chance to relive their Verdansk days, the fanbase is divided over the weapon.

A post on the Call of Duty Warzone subreddit appeared announcing upcoming nerfs to the Kar98k, and by extension, the popular Superi 46 SMG. As soon as fans heard the news, an all-out war broke out in the comments, with half the players excited to see fewer Kars running around while the rest were annoyed by the constant changes.
The very first comment on the thread is from a happy camper who exclaims that the Kar98k no longer lands everywhere with 2 shots to the body. Their information is incorrect, as two shots to the upper torso will result in a down, while anything lower will leave the enemy at a fraction of HP. This is still a big enough nerf that players are happy with the changes.
On the other hand, there are many fans in the comments who are annoyed that the Kar98k is constantly under fire from Activision, despite it having brought many players the most fun they’ve had in Warzone since the rework. One player responded to the “stupidity” of the community, saying that the vast majority of players were begging for the Kar98k, but now they want the weapon to be toned down or removed altogether.
