The Galaxy Watch 5 is rumored to have a three-day battery life, setting it apart from the many premium smartwatches that barely last 24 hours.
17 Tips to Save Your Apple Watch Battery That Actually Work
A new batch of Galaxy Watch 5 rumors suggests that Samsung's upcoming wearable will offer an impressive three-day battery life. Considering the Galaxy Watch 4 barely managed two days, that's a marked improvement for Samsung's flagship wearable. Samsung is expected to reveal more about the Galaxy Watch 5 during its Galaxy Unpacked event on August 10, but it appears that the recent rumors surrounding the smartwatch's battery life may be true.
"Given that the Galaxy Watch 4 lasts two days, three days of battery life sounds very reasonable," Michael Gartenberg, a technical analyst and former Apple marketing director, told Lifewire via Twitter. Gartenberg called it a "meaningful" upgrade because "people will be able to go away for a weekend without having to carry a charger."
The Galaxy Watch 5’s claimed three-day battery life isn’t breaking any records. Many smartwatches can go for days without a charge, such as the Garmin Fenix 6 Pro Solar, which lasts an impressive 16 days. But that premium device carries a hefty $750 price tag, and isn’t nearly as mainstream as the Galaxy Watch.
