Team Liquid’s first match of the day against Heroic saw them advance to the quarterfinals with a 2:1 victory. In his exclusive interview with Dot Esports, Neta explained that the team felt prepared for their match, with a plan for their draft and precise expectations of their opponents. When analyzing their performance, he also stated that he was pleased with Team Liquid’s dynamic, particularly in balancing the unique skills and strengths of each player.
As a player, Neta is known for his mechanical and micro skills. Translating these skills into his role as captain is something he feels comfortable with. "I just do what comes naturally to me and I try not to force myself to do things that are not easy for me," he explained. "Even though I am captain, I try not to go too far and push the responsibility onto others. I don't want to dictate the state of the game all by myself. It's a game with five players, not just one."
Despite Neta's confidence in Team Liquid's abilities, the subsequent elimination at the hands of Team Falcons was a bitter disappointment for the players. Acknowledging that they performed worse than against Heroic, 33 admitted: "Nobody feels like we really played at our best. It felt like the odds were against us, but we're not making excuses. I think we're just a little disappointed that we couldn't play at our maximum potential."
