Felipe “insani” Yuji and MIBR warn the Counter-Strike 2 scene: Brazilian CS is back at its best. The team has claimed its first offline trophy and is coming to Europe, thanks in part to the decision to drop North America altogether.

MIBR followed in the footsteps of their compatriots paiN last weekend and became the second team from South America to claim victory at ESL Challenger Melbourne. Insani led the team, with a 1.51 HLTV rating over the nine-map sprint to the trophy, winning the tournament MVP title in a landslide.
The 20-year-old, who celebrated his birthday during a match in Australia, has spent the majority of the 2024 season splitting the server and leading the way for MIBR to firmly establish themselves in the conversation as the best Brazilian CS2 team in form. The biggest driver of the team’s success, Insani told Dot Esports at the event, was their move away from NA in August 2023. They had outgrown the region and needed better practice to evolve.
"We basically gave up on North America," Insani told Dot. "All the teams that went back to Brazil are playing really well now: the Brazilian scene and the South American region have improved a lot since every team is training there. Our region is starting to come back and we're all getting better."
