If you’ve been playing the game for a while, you should be familiar with the Supply Drops feature. This feature has been replaced by Combat Caches in Fortnite. While the functions are largely the same, many players still can’t figure out what these items are, where to find them, and how to easily obtain them. If you need help with that, here’s everything you need to know about these drops to help you collect high-level loot.
Did you know THIS about Combat Caches in Fortnite?
Introduced in Chapter 4, Season 2, Combat Caches are drops that appear on your map after the third Storm Circle. These drops consist of a number of high-tier tools, gear, and weapons. Once they spawn, players will see a Combat Cache marker on their screen. However, choosing to collect this drop can also be risky. As such, you may choose to ignore it.
It is important to note that the longer you wait to collect it, the faster the rarity of the drop will decrease. If you want to get the rare item in the shop, you need to follow the marker or the light beam quickly. Once you find it, you need to hold the 'Recover Cache' option on the screen.
Players will then have to wait for the 50 second timer to run out. Once the timer runs out, the Combat Cache will open and you can claim your loot. Also, keep in mind that players will have to be quick when it comes to claiming the loot, because once it opens, every other player in that area can claim the loot as well.
