Nintendo discontinued the Club Nintendo program in 2015, replacing it with Nintendo Account and My Nintendo. The last day to redeem coins for downloadable programs and rewards was June 30, 2015, and the last day users could redeem Club Nintendo download codes in Nintendo eShop was July 31, 2015.
The rise and fall of Nintendo's greatest project…
Like its predecessor, My Nintendo encourages interaction with rewards and discounts on digital games, but a Nintendo Account is required to participate in My Nintendo. Anyone with a Nintendo Account can use My Nintendo for free.
If you already have a Nintendo Network ID (NNID), use it when you sign up for a Nintendo Account. You can create a Nintendo Account on the web, and you can use a Facebook, Google, or X Account (formerly Twitter) to streamline the sign-in process.
Nintendo Accounts and Nintendo IDs are two separate things that are used for different purposes.
