iMessage in iOS 16 brings a bunch of improvements to how you communicate with your friends and family via text. In addition to being able to use SharePlay within the app and collaborate on a document, spreadsheet, or project right away, the Messages app now offers a way to retrieve recent texts you’ve sent to someone via the Undo Send option.
How to Undo Sending a Message on iPhone – Edit and Undo Sending iPhone Messages
In this post, we'll explain what happens when you use Undo Send on a text message in the Messages app, what your recipient will see when you do so, and why you can't send some text messages in the app, even on iOS 16.
When you use the Undo Send option for an iMessage chat in the Messages app, the selected message immediately disappears from the conversation. All that remains of the unsent message is a label that says "You have unsent a message" and it appears below the last sent message.
A message that has not been sent can no longer be recovered and will be permanently removed from the conversation.
