This article explains what bandwidth is, how to measure it, and how to determine how much bandwidth you need.
What is bandwidth?
Bandwidth is defined as the amount of information that something, such as an Internet connection, can process at a given time.
The term bandwidth has a number of technical meanings, but since the popularization of the Internet, it generally refers to the amount of information per unit of time that a transmission medium (such as an Internet connection) can handle.
An Internet connection with a higher bandwidth can move a given amount of data (for example, a video file) much faster than an Internet connection with a lower bandwidth.
