Disk Management is an extension of the Microsoft Management Console that allows you to perform full management of disk hardware recognized by Windows.
What are disk partitions?
It is used to manage the drives installed in a computer, such as hard drives (internal and external), optical drives, and flash drives. It can be used to partition and format drives, assign drive letters, and much more.
Disk Management is available in most versions of Microsoft Windows, including Windows 11, Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows XP, and Windows 2000.
The most common way to access Disk Management is through the Computer Management utility. You can find this through Administrative Tools in the Control Panel.
