Simply put, you're using haptic technology when you interact with a piece of technology that provides simulated physical feedback (as opposed to a physical switch or button).
Haptic feedback is increasingly used to connect virtual on-screen experiences with the physical world and to make digital interfaces more natural and lifelike.
