Instagram is counting on its millions of users, plus those who migrated from TikTok, to make the new feature an instant hit.

Well, there’s no doubt about it. TikTok is in trouble and users are moving to other apps. In the wake of this turmoil, Instagram is doing everything it can to provide users with a place to create short videos, in a TikTok-like way.
Instagram Reels is being added as a feature within the Instagram app itself, so users don’t need to download another app. The feature is available on the app’s camera page. Users can create short videos of up to 15 seconds long. Reels also lets you pre-select the length of the video, so you don’t have to trim it later.
Like other apps in this genre, Reels features a music library and personalization options with stickers and filters.
