Microsoft just announced the launch of a new Microsoft Teams-based workforce integration system, Microsoft Viva, and it’s big news for remote workers. As the global pandemic continues but shows some semblance of a potential, eventual end in sight, businesses around the world are wondering what a return to normal might look like.
Some speculate that if and when we achieve widespread societal protection against the coronavirus through vaccines, many businesses will choose to retain many of the work-from-home processes that became commonplace during the lockdown and double down on some of the benefits it offers to both employers and employees. Others predict that a return to pre-COVID ways of doing business is inevitable.
Microsoft is committed to people working from home.
Microsoft Viva is a platform initially implemented within the Microsoft Teams suite that is designed to help businesses adapt to a work-from-home process. Microsoft pitches Viva as a way to solve the challenges associated with remote work while maintaining the benefits that come with it.
