The Safari web browser is the default web browser for the iPhone, iPad, and macOS. The browser was first released by Apple in 2003, and was briefly offered on Windows from 2007 to 2012. The Safari browser exploded in popularity with the iPhone and iPad, and currently holds approximately 54% of mobile browser usage in the United States.
