The Last Epoch features some of the toughest endgame encounters the game will ever throw at you, and unless you’ve maxed out your Critical Strike Avoidance, you’re likely to get killed a lot. Critical Strike Avoidance is an important stat, so here’s everything you need to know about it and its cap.
How to calculate critical hit chance for skills – Latest Era
Critical Strike Avoidance is a secondary stat that determines whether or not an attack you land will be a critical hit. Of course, taking a critical hit is bad news for you, as you will often die instantly or be stunned by the blow. You want to avoid critical hits by stacking Critical Strike Avoidance, but there is a limit to this that you should be aware of.
Critical Strike Avoidance caps at 100, meaning that every point of the stat you gain on your gear or through talents is 1:1. If you have a helmet with 50 Critical Strike Avoidance, you have a 50 percent chance of avoiding a critical strike when an enemy has a 100 percent chance of landing one. The Critical Strike Avoidance cap is therefore 100. When you reach this cap, you become immune to critical hits, and they are converted into normal hits. This is paramount for continuing endgame content.
