There are three different types of currency you can earn in Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions: Moonstones, Gold, and Winged Keys. Moonstone currency is probably the most important, though, as its primary purpose is to provide upgrades to your team's broomsticks.
Moonstones can be collected as early as the game’s Tutorial mode, as you gain experience in each learning phase that leads to your Career and unlocks levels in the current season of the game. Once you have full access to your Team and can start participating in different modes (e.g. Campaign, Multiplayer, Exhibition), you can really start grinding for Moonstones and various other rewards.
Once you’ve collected a substantial amount of Moonstones, head over to your ‘My Team’ tab, choose one of your teammates and select their ‘Performance’ option. This will take you to a submenu where you can upgrade their Skills (if you have points available) or their broomstick. Scroll down to ‘Brooms’, where you’ll see their currently equipped broomstick and its stats.
