Gmail users can now breathe a sigh of relief as email search is about to get a whole lot easier. Google has introduced a new feature in Gmail called ‘search chips’ to find relevant emails with a few clicks instead of using the keyboard for advanced filters.

They are essentially new search filters that appear below your normal search query. Unlike the advanced filters that already existed in Gmail, these chips are easy to use and understand, which ensures that new users will have no trouble with them.
Search chips allow you to further refine your search, making the process easier and more efficient.
For example, if you're searching for an email from John, you'd search for his email address. Then, with this update, you can apply additional filters to that search, such as attachment types, date ranges, calendar invites, and more.
