What is two-factor authentication?
Two-factor authentication (2FA) is a security feature that adds an extra layer of security to your account.
Instead of simply entering a username and password when you open an online account, two-factor authentication requires an additional verification code, which you receive via text message, email, or a third-party authenticator app.
This blocks people from accessing your account, because only you can see the authentication code. Without that code, others can't access your online accounts.
