Web 2.0 is a term describing the Internet that has been used since the early 2000s.
In simple terms, Web 2.0 is the second phase of Internet development that encompasses the evolution from simple, static Web pages to increasingly dynamic pages with user-generated content. It also includes the growth of social media as a major form of Internet communication.
It is worth emphasizing first that there is no single definition of Web 2.0. Like many technological concepts that seemingly appeared out of nowhere, Web 2.0 is one that has essentially taken on a life of its own.
Some people consider the Web 2.0 era as the time when a fundamental shift occurred in the way we used the Internet. It could be described as the movement toward a more social, collaborative, interactive, and responsive web.
