With everyone stuck at home right now, there’s not much to do other than chat with friends and binge-watch Netflix. WhatsApp has over two billion users worldwide who are constantly turning to the app to stay in touch with their friends and family. WhatsApp has been rolling out features regularly; from integrating Rooms to helping users spot fake news. In this article, we’re going to discuss a new feature called ‘Vacation Mode’. Here’s everything you need to know about it.
🏝⛱ HOLIDAY MODE WhatsApp 2021
Well, we’ve all spent so much time on social media that we could all use a break. While it’s certainly important to take a break from your phone, sometimes you need a break from some people, too. And that’s why WhatsApp is working on a new feature called “Vacation Mode.”
You should note, however, that this isn't an official name for the feature, and you may not see anything called "Vacation Mode" in your WhatsApp app. Rather, it's a pair of settings in the "Archived Chats" menu that let you disable notifications for those chats. The screenshot above shows the two settings you get as part of the unofficial Vacation Mode, which stops you from receiving notifications from chats you've archived.
Vacation Mode was first spotted in 2018 by the good guys over at WEBetaInfo. The feature gained some traction over the years, but was then suddenly removed from the beta program. Now, with the latest update in WhatsApp Beta, WaBetainfo has broken down the code to learn that Vacation Mode might actually be making its way into our apps!
