Windows 10 offers a feature that really takes the most out of a touchscreen PC. Called Tablet Mode, it’s exactly what it sounds like: a mode that lets you interact with your PC primarily through the touchscreen, just as you would with a tablet.
Tablet Mode is an optional feature that allows Windows 10 users with touchscreen PCs to interact with their devices by touching the screen instead of using a mouse and keyboard.
Tablet mode displays the Windows 10 user interface to optimize the use of the PC as a tablet. Such optimization usually includes large app icons, fewer displayed icons, and an on-screen touch keyboard.
If you’ve been using Windows PCs for a long time, you’re probably more familiar with Desktop Mode than Tablet Mode. Desktop Mode is essentially the predecessor to Tablet Mode, featuring a classic Windows Start menu and desktop with as many thumbnail-sized programs, apps, and document icons as a person could want.
