Salvation's Edge in Destiny 2 is the pinnacle of the campaign and therefore one of the toughest challenges in the game. As such, it's best to have your Power level high enough when tackling the raid.
Destiny 2: SALVATION'S EDGE RAID FOR DUMMIES! – Complete Raid Guide and Walkthrough!
As usual, the raid will kick off with a competitive mode, which will be available exclusively for the first 48 hours of Salvation’s Edge. Once that’s over, players will be able to tackle the regular version of the raid. The base version isn’t as difficult as the competitive mode, but offers largely the same loot. The confirmed exception so far is the day one emblem, which is only available for two days.
Here are all the level requirements for the Salvation's Edge raid in Destiny 2.
The Salvation's Edge competitive mode will cap players at 1965 across all encounters, Bungie has confirmed. There's no point in going past that for the first 48 hours of the raid, though the higher Power level can certainly help once that wears off. Completing the Legendary campaign will put you at 1960, which should be enough to get close to the cap with Artifact bonuses.
