Pokémon Scarlet and Violet's seven-star Tera Raids are taking a break from Starters to focus on other notable 'mons. This time around, the Unrivaled Tera Raid event will focus on Dondozo, the giant catfish partner of the little Tatsugiri.

Until now, most seven-star Tera Raid events in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet have revolved around Starters, so it's refreshing to see Dondozo take the spotlight as one of the strongest 'mons this generation has introduced.

For this particular event, Dondozo will have the Water Tera Type to power up Water-type moves like Wave Crash. He also has naturally high stats in HP and Defense, meaning you might want to bring a special attacker with Electric or Grass attacks to hit him where it hurts the most. Whatever counter you choose, make sure he’s fully prepared to take on the seven-star raid while he’s here.
