Your Mac may soon feel more like an extension of your iPhone thanks to Apple's new Monterey operating system.
macOS Monterey: Key New Features
Apple recently released the latest version of the macOS 12 Monterey beta to public beta testers, allowing non-developers to try out the software before its public release. The final version is expected later this year. You can download the macOS Monterey public beta now to try out some of the new features.
Apple promotes the idea that the Mac is just an extension of your gadget universe, rather than a computer unto itself. With Universal Control, for example, users can work with a single mouse and keyboard, and switch between Mac and iPad for a seamless experience, without the need for any setup.
You can drag content back and forth between devices. For example, you can draw a picture with Apple Pencil on an iPad and then drop it into a Keynote slide on your Mac.
