Whether you’re a big fan of “dark mode” or not, it’s hard to say the feature isn’t important. Dark mode is implemented on Windows 10, macOS, iOS, and Android in general, and on a slew of third-party apps for these platforms, such as Gmail. It helps with eyestrain in low-light conditions, and it can also save your battery.
How to Enable Dark Mode on WhatsApp | WhatsApp Guide
According to WhatsApp enthusiast site WABetaInfo, the 2.20. 13 beta version of WhatsApp, available through the Google Play Beta Program, now has its own dark mode. It’s likely that the feature will arrive in the regular app as an update soon. While the beta program isn’t accepting new signups, the site offers an APK that you can download and install (or sideload) on your Android device to get the feature. Simply navigate to Settings and then Chats in your WhatsApp app to enable it.
Once enabled in WhatsApp, you can set a light theme, a dark theme, or let WhatsApp manage both through your system default settings (Android Q supports dark mode system-wide). If you have an older Android OS, you can choose to enable dark mode in WhatsApp through your battery saver settings.
