Since there is no room for bigger batteries as phones get smaller, app developers have turned to dark/black/night mode to improve battery life. The latest app to implement dark mode is WhatsApp, but the feature is still hidden in the latest beta version.
How to Get WhatsApp Beta When It's Full (2024) [NEW UPDATE]
In WhatsApp beta 2.19.92, users can now use the app in dark mode, which allows white text to sit on a dark background. While I personally find this pleasant, it’s not everyone’s cup of tea.
Unfortunately, WABetaInfo reports that the feature is not yet available for users of the latest beta version of WhatsApp. Instead, some adjustments need to be made to the APK to activate the feature. Otherwise, you will have to wait a while.
At the moment, the publication notes that the dark mode is only available in the Settings menu. And to avoid attacking us with gunfire, it is worth noting that the said dark mode uses a very dark gray color and not a black background, but that may change with the stable release.
