WhatsApp’s View Once feature, which lets you send media and texts that automatically delete themselves after they’re viewed, is coming to iOS. You can try it out in the latest beta version of WhatsApp.
How to Recover WhatsApp Messages on iPhone
A new WhatsApp feature called View Once, which launched on Android in June, is now making its way to iOS devices with a test run currently rolling out in the latest beta. You can sign up for the WhatsApp beta, which is available via Testflight, to get access to the new feature.
If you've downloaded the latest beta (version 2.21.140.9) but don't see the 'Watch Once' option, WABetaInfo recommends waiting a little longer as WhatsApp is steadily expanding access for testers.
The View Once feature expands on the Disappearing Messages feature, which allows users to set messages to automatically delete themselves after seven days. This time, messages sent with View Once will not self-destruct after a certain time, but will cease to exist immediately after they are viewed and closed.
