Dark and Darker resets the servers at the start of a new season, so that all players can play the newest content on an equal footing and everyone has a chance to finish at the top of the leaderboards.

When these wipes happen, you lose access to all of the progress you’ve made in the game, including all of your gold, items, and completed quests. These wipes happen three to four times a year and give new players a chance to challenge the ranked leaderboard instead of being dominated by long-time players. So when’s the next one?
Ironmace has not yet set a date for the current wipe in Dark and Darker, but it's easy to predict when it will happen.
Previous seasons have lasted anywhere from 70+ to 100+ days. The latest season started on June 7th, so the next wipe for Dark and Darker will likely be sometime between August and September 2024.
