The annual Steam Sales rotation is something of much dread and anticipation in the PC gaming community, representing both a chance to grab some coveted titles and a complete wipeout of savings. Luckily for gamers, Steam has announced the next one so you can plan ahead.
Gamers wasted HOW MUCH?!
The 2024 Steam Summer Sale is the closest thing to an international holiday that the PC gaming community has ever seen, as it’s by far the most intense sale across all of Steam’s ubiquitous PC gaming platforms. As your wishlist shrinks and your backlog grows, you can at least take comfort in the fact that you’re partaking in a time-honored tradition: the first Summer Sale was 14 years ago, after all.
As announced by Valve itself, the Steam Summer Sale 2024 will run from June 27 to July 11, both starting and ending at 12am CT on those dates. That gives you around two weeks to grab all the savings you can and, more importantly, just three days from the time of writing to budget for the sale. Steam sales have a reputation for emptying gamers’ wallets, and it’s worth taking care not to overspend.
As with most major Steam sales like this one, the multi-thousands of discounts will also come with a number of new Points Shop items like badges, profile customizations, and more, as well as a themed Steam Store front page that will last the entire sale. There will be more than a few choice games on offer if the Spring Sale earlier this year is any indication, with the likes of Cyberpunk 2077 and Dragon's Dogma 2 likely to see deep discounts, as well as newer, more sought-after games like Helldivers 2. Whatever you've got your eye on, don't miss this chance for some fun in the sun at an affordable price.
