Abyss is finally available on the official VALORANT servers, and the new, treacherous map full of dangerous locations will take some getting used to.
Riot gave me early access to the new Valorant map: ABYSS
While Abyss technically follows the “standard” map format of three lanes and two locations, there’s nothing standard about it, as the newest addition to the VALORANT map pool features traps where you can fall to your death and areas where you can jump over gaps to reach ideal spots. Every new map comes with a learning curve, and one as dangerous as Abyss is likely to have a steep one.
Abyss is launching in phases starting with VALORANT, with each patch joining different map pools.
The schedule for Abyss’ inclusion in the map pool is similar to previous new maps, starting in unranked modes with an exclusive queue, then rolling out to competitive modes.
